EBS mobile handjet coders are large character printers using the drop-on-demand method. Here, up to 32 nozzles are controlled individually in order to be able to apply texts, barcodes or graphics to the object to be printed with a print height of 7mm to a maximum of 57mm. The special feature of our hand jets is their easy handling in everyday work. Thanks to their low weight and unlimited mobility, our mobile printers are the more efficient alternative to roll coders and stencils.

Thanks to their integrated rechargeable battery and data memory, the Handjet operates completely wirelessly and can therefore be used in a variety of ways. Instead of bringing the product to the marking device, the Handjet can be used to mark directly on the product. This saves time and effort every day. The built-in nozzles are designed so that even overhead printing is no problem for the Handjet coder. Separately available guide rails can also facilitate the marking of cylindrical or circular objects.

The big-font DOD

Because the Handjet series was such a great benefit for a lot of customers, EBS Ink-Jet Systems decided to develop the even more successful big brother - the Handjet EBS-260. The big-font DOD (Drop on Demand) Ink-Jet printer is now able to print from 11 mm up to a maximum of 57 mm in height. The unique handling has even been improved, due to a big touchscreen on the coder itself.

Mobility

Don't waste time transporting your products to the printer. Bring the printer to the product! Handjet EBS-260 is easily transportable and doesn't need big preparation.

Flyweight

The coder only weighs as little as 8 eight apples. Tired arms are things from the past. You can easily work for hours and you don't even feel the weight.

Works even over head!

Hard-to-reach objects such as ventilation pipes are often accessible only overhead. The handjet prints in any position, thanks to valve technology.

Print directions

Sophisticated functions allow change in the direction and orientation of printing.

Printouts can be made from left-to-right and right-to-left, up-side-down and mirrored, as well as along curved lines.

Inks

The HANDJET® EBS 260 printer uses a wide selection of quick-drying dye-based and pigmented inks, which are made on the basis of ethanol, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) and water.

The inks are available soon in various colors, including black, red, white, yellow, blue, which ensure good contrast on light and dark surfaces.

Also special ink types are available. Such inks are:

resistant to a temperature of up to 250ºC over a maximum of 40 s – for printing on hot objects,
certified as fit for contact with food, for direct printing on food and foodstuff products (water and ethanol based inks),
highly resistant to UV radiation

Most inks are multi-purpose, that is; they can be printed on a variety of surfaces. There are also special purpose inks available, e.g. for printing on concrete or inks that are mostly resistant to deterioration when exposed to ultraviolet radiation.

Accessories

The printer is available in a convenient carrying case, which can be used both for storage and transport.

The entire set also includes a power adapter (24V/1.25A), for recharging the batteries, power adapter cable, an ink container and a spray bottle for ink cleaner.

Roll Guide to Support Printing

Additional equipment includes supporting stabilisers for certain applications, such as printing a perfectly straight line or for printing on cylindrical surfaces.
